HOSPA Explains the ‘Internet of Things’.

The Internet itself is fast approaching a point where it will be useful to hotels. Bandwidth is growing exponentially and component costs dropping in price rapidly to the point that connectivity is becoming a standard feature. In 2013 there were approximately 1 device connected to the internet per person on earth. By 2020, this will increase to around 9 devices connected to the internet per person  Today 80 ‘things’ connect to the internet every second and by 2020 this is expected to  be more than 250 ‘things’ connecting to the internet every second!
